Access to safe water can protect and save lives and cannot be overlooked. Water is the critical resource that underpins all social and economic activity. For too many, water is literally a matter of life or death. More than a quarter of the world’s population lack access to clean water. Unfortunately, water-related diseases cause 3.4 million deaths each year.
India is the biggest democratic country in the world with more than 1.2 billion people. Although India gained Independence over 72 years ago and many things have changed since, not the lives of the Dalits.
